ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — An ambulance carrying a patient caught fire after a crash on I-270 in south St. Louis County.
The crash happened on southbound I-270 near Thiess Road on Feb. 25, west of the I-55 interchange, reported.
According to Sgt. Andrew Gadberry of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Midwest Medical Transport crew rescued the patient before the ambulance burned. The cause of the crash and the patient’s condition remain unknown.
Gadberry said this was one of two crashes involving four vehicles, with injuries reported.
