Numerous EMS departments responded to assist first responders in Florida as Hurricane Milton made landfall.

From storm-related responses to hospital evacuations, here are a few social media posts that captured EMS crews at work.

Spirit EMS

Spirit EMS, based out of Greenville, Ohio, deployed six additional ambulances to help with the ongoing response to Hurricane Milton.

AMR San Francisco

AMR deployed a crew from San Fransisco to assist with Hurricane Milton response efforts.

Southern Oklahoma Ambulance Service

A crew from Southern Oklahoma Ambulance Service, based out of Ardmore, Okla., was deployed to Marshall, Johnston and Bryan counties to assist with storm response efforts.

Erik Ambulance Service

Erik Ambulance Service, based in Oklahoma, sent a paramedic/EMT crew to aid with storm response.

Global Medical Response

GMR, the parent company of AMR, sent additional teams to the hardest-hit regions in Florida. The teams have helped provide medical support, hospital evacuations, rescue operations and support to local 911 systems.

Choctaw County Ambulance Authority

Choctaw County EMS and Strike Team 3, based out of Hugo, Okla., are stationed in Auburndale, Florida to provide additional aid to local crews.

White Sulphur Springs EMS

White Sulphur Springs EMS, based in West Virginia, deployed paramedics and EMTs to provide essential emergency medical support in response to Hurricane Milton.

AMR Palm Beach/Broward

AMR Palm Beach sent a team to provide aid to their neighbors following Hurricane Milton’s landfall.
