NAPERVILLE, Ill. 鈥 An Illinois firefighter-paramedic wrote and performed a parody country song to promote healthy habits and make people smile during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Naperville Firefighter-Paramedic Billy Croft wrote the song 鈥淕et Your Mask On,鈥 based on 鈥淕et Your Shine On鈥 by Florida Georgia Line, and a video of him singing and strumming his guitar was posted on the Naperville Fire Department鈥檚 Facebook page on Saturday.

In addition to masks, the song also mentions hand-washing and hand sanitizer, and even references toilet paper shortages seen in the early days of the pandemic.

鈥淟ife is stressful enough, and this job can be extremely stressful so I鈥檝e always looked at the glass half full and using humor to make somebody smile, that鈥檚 sometimes the best medicine,鈥 Croft .
