3 injured in oven explosion at Fla. stadium

One patient was flown to Ryder Trauma Center after an oven exploded inside the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens

MIAMI 鈥 Three people were injured when an oven exploded Thursday afternoon at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

The incident was reported around 3:30 p.m. inside the stadium.

Paramedics took two people to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital 鈥 one by air, one by ground ambulance, the fire department said.

The third patient was taken to another hospital in a private ambulance, a fire rescue spokesperson told the Herald.

The Miami Dolphins are set to take the 2024 team for its first test drive during against the Atlanta Falcons in Hard Rock Stadium.

The stadium released a statement that the game is not expected to be affected by the explosion.

鈥淭his afternoon, an incident occurred in a concession stand on the club level of the stadium. Three workers sustained injuries and have been taken to a local hospital for further care. The cause of the incident was quickly identified and extinguished. There is no further threat and no expected impact on the Dolphins game Friday evening.鈥
