ALAMEDA, Calif. 鈥 A teen found 鈥渟ignificantly鈥 stuck in the mud on a seashore in the rising tide set off an urgent rescue, California firefighters reported.
Police and firefighters of the teen stuck near the Encinal Boat Ramp just after noon Wednesday, June 26 , the Alameda Fire Department said in a news release.
Officers and firefighters worked together to free the teenager from the mud, the agency said.
A video shows rescuers diving underwater to try to work the teen loose from the mud.
The teen was taken to a hospital for observation.

Alameda is about a 15-mile drive east from San Francisco .
