Amherst County Fire/EMS sees the most new first responders joining the department at one time

AMHERST COUNTY, Va. 鈥 Amherst County Fire/EMS has experienced a record boost in new recruits this year.

The agency reported onboarding 10 new EMTs and paramedics, marking the largest single class in the county鈥檚 history, reported.

The new recruits are completing their orientation and learning what it means to be a first responder in Amherst County.
