Texas worker killed after falling into fabric company machine

Employees initially reported the victim missing from the floor before they found his body inside a machine in the Fort Worth plant

FORT WORTH, Texas — One person died in an industrial accident at a Fort Worth factory Friday morning, according to a report from

The deceased, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 44-year-old Keith Edward Varner of Hurst, died at the on 1st Street.

Fort Worth first responders responded to the factory at around 10:30 a.m. Friday after employees called to report one of their co-workers had gone missing from the floor, according to WFAA.

Technical rescue specialists with the fire department found Varner’s body trapped inside one of the company’s machines, a department spokesperson told WFAA.

The cause of Varner’s entrapment in the machine has not been determined, fire officials said.
