TAMPA, Fla. 鈥 The National Association of EMS Physicians is hosting a course on antiracism leadership development on Jan. 24.

It is one of the workshops offered ahead of the annual meeting, which will be held Jan. 26-28 in Tampa, Florida.

The course will be led by Dr. Rickquel Tripp, vice-chair of NAEMSP鈥檚 DEI Committee, and committee members Drs. Ameera Haamid and Stacy Weisberg.

鈥淲e encourage you to attend this course because we provide a comprehensive perspective about addressing health disparities and structural determinants of health within EMS and strategies to combat racism to change culture. We journey through understanding systemic racism and its impacts and how we can become better allies for our colleagues and our patients,鈥 Tripp told SA国际传媒.

鈥淭his antiracism leadership course is different than most since we strive to not only to identify issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion but also to provide take-home strategies to overcome them,鈥 she said.

Additional conference information can be found.
