SACRAMENTO, Calif 鈥� The Sacramento Kings鈥疌apitalize: Technology startup competition is highlighting local California entrepreneurs and their products, including a medication tracking and management system, and a wearable EEG device.
The competition, now in its 10th year, offers contestants pitch coaching, workshops, and the opportunity to present to investors, executives and the community.
Four finalists have been selected to advance for fan voting, which will run until halftime of the Kings vs. Denver Nuggets game on April 9. The winner will be announced in-game and presented a cash prize of $10,000 for further development of their business.
The final four contestants include Splash Technologies automating pool chemical testing, Whole Story Meals Inc. powdered meals, EpiSense wearable EEG device that predicts seizures with machine learning, and , which helps first responders and medical professionals track controlled substances more efficiently, ensuring accountability, reducing waste and protecting communities.
