N.Y. FF/paramedic charged with burglarizing homes of recently transported patients

ALBANY, N.Y. — A firefighter/paramedic has been arrested, accused of burglarizing homes where he knew the residents had been recently transported to a local hospital.

Devvan Farina, a paramedic with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office and a firefighter in Troy, has been charged with burglary, attempted burglary, grand larceny, criminal mischief and attempted petit larceny, reported.

Farina was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court and held at the Albany County Correctional Facility.

Farina has a preliminary hearing set for Feb. 9.
