EMS, law enforcement and the fire service have joined forces to create a unified framework for addressing acute behavioral emergencies. This groundbreaking effort culminated in a Consensus Statement from the National Association of EMS Physicians, the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the International Association of Chiefs of Police published in in September 2024.
