As 2023 draws to a close, we remember and honor the memory of the EMS providers who were lost in the line of duty during the year. Their bravery and dedication will not be forgotten.

Our thoughts are with the families, friends, loved ones and colleagues of the fallen. We are heartbroken for you.

Rachel Engel is an award-winning journalist and the senior editor of FireRescue1.com and SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½.com. In addition to her regular editing duties, Engel seeks to tell the heroic, human stories of first responders and the importance of their work.
