JAY COUNTY, Ind. 鈥� Jay County EMS and neighboring first responders are grieving the loss of Paramedic Larry Nuckols who passed away while on duty on Jan. 10, reported.
鈥淚t is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a great paramedic, coworker, father and friend. At approximately 8 pm on 1/10/2025, all of us heard those chilling words 鈥淢an down, CPR in progress鈥� within our own walls,鈥� the department . 鈥淲e deal with death in ways that most people outside of our EMS world would not and could not understand. But to apply our skills to one of our own鈥here are simply no words to describe our pain and anguish.鈥�
Nuckols served over 30 years in EMS services after he retired from the U.S. Army.
